Remember this couple? I was able to capture their engagement portraits in January. In Colorado. (Talk about freezing!) I think I must have been the only one to notice the cold because these two? Well, they must have been in their own little oasis of love. And warmth.
Nate’s little brother is getting married tomorrow and we couldn’t be more excited! Congrats to Jason and Jenna!!

Gettin’ Married! | Dallas Fort Worth Photographer
July 29, 2011Vintage Reading | Dallas Fort Worth Photographer
June 8, 2011So I was just looking through some files last night and found these wonderful images from Kyle and Kelcee’s Wedding! I LOVED all the vintage DIY decorations Kelcee made and just HAD to share some details! The old book feel was everywhere and I was totally in love. And the picture details they included? Well, amazing…if I do say so myself.

And the paper flowers surrounding their wedding cake? Seriously! I was in love!
And to carry on the vintage theme, Kelcee found her wedding dress on Etsy. True vintage from the 1940s.
This weekend Nate’s sister, and my wonderful sister-in-law, will be getting married. Finally! A relationship two countries, and an eight hour time difference, apart will be together at last. For time and all eternity. We couldn’t be more happy to have Tarjei join the family. And I can’t wait to see all the wedding celebrations! Congrats to Julianna and Tarjei!
This evening my older brother, Kyle, and his new bride, Kelcee, will be married. I can’t wait for what the future holds for them! I’ll share more images from their wedding day later. (Just think: vintage homemade.) And seriously, I couldn’t have picked a better woman for my brother. Congrats to Kyle and Kelcee!
Sometimes we got along, sometimes we didn’t. Probably didn’t more than did, honestly. I tried to get him to play barbies with me. He did. But him “playing” involved ramming the barbie car into things. I cried, ran to my mom, tried to get him in trouble…
Just after Jurassic Park came out we were totally obsessed. I was obsessed because he was. We would stick a box (from a refrigerator or something?) out the back window. Into my mom’s garden. And we would get in, and pretend we were crazy dinosaurs trying to break free of the trailer. Remember the opening scene from Jurassic Park? Yeah, we were cool.
I remember taking pancake batter out of the fridge. We went outside and both tried to sit on my big wheel bike together. And we took turns drinking the pancake batter. We were sharing. Out on the driveway on my white and pink and purple bike. It broke after that. We said we’d use his bike next time.
He taught me how to jump out of a swing. Or actually, he didn’t. He just watched. I could have sworn he stood up before he jumped out. I think I really hurt myself. And I think he got in trouble for not taking better care of me. For not telling me that I needed to sit down when I tried to jump out of the swing.
My older brother is getting married. To the cutest, sweetest girl in the whole wide world. They came down here to Texas last weekend. Before the wedding and the craziness of life begins. And we fit in a wonderful photoshoot. I had so much fun capturing them together. The boy who loved dinosaurs, pancake batter, and seeing me cry has grown up, found the girl of his dreams, and is getting married next month. And I can’t wait to make more memories with Kyle and Kelcee. And Finally–a sister!
