Halloween is coming! And too soon in my opinion. I love the Halloween season, with the fall leaves, the pumpkin everything, and the cool, brisk air. But trying to figure out costumes can be SO stressful! I’m sorry, but most of the store-bought Halloween costumes out there look so terrible and the quality is appalling. If I had the time and patience, I would always make Halloween costumes for our family. And here are a few quick ideas I found on-line!
Seriously, the quality of this Cinderella dress looks impeccable. I need to just trash the Cinderella dress I bought for Mackay last year and make this! She also includes how-to’s for the accessories as well.

And what Cinderella would be complete without her Prince Charming? You could totally pull this off with a little boy because he would get a sword. ![]()
Again, matching siblings with Tinkerbell…
…and Peter Pan.
And if I had two boys I would DEFINITELY do these Curious George costumes. Heck, maybe I can still convince Mackay to dress up as the Man with the Yellow Hat. (Does it bother anyone else that no one knows the Man’s name?)
For those with a beloved family pet…
Does anyone out there have a Diva for a daughter? I know I do!
And this little boy is absolutely the cutest. How appropriate is it to dress your kid up homeless?
And for all those pregnant mommas out there–a proud skeletal Momma!
And I think the best part of the above costume would be the matching costume for Dad.
And I am seriously considering dressing up as Rosie the Riveter for Halloween this year. I’m all about Girl Power.
I hope this post gives you a few ideas for Halloween costumes this year! And PLEASE share what your plans are for Halloween–because even after all this “research” I still am not sure what our family is going to dress up as!

Lisa - We were totally going to do the man with the yellow hat for Eli this year (and he has a Curious George stuffed animal he was going to tote around), but I decided I’m too much of a perfectionist and don’t have enough time to pull it off right with baby #2 due in a few weeks…maybe next year. This year we’re just rolling with his train obsession and he’s going to be an engineer. And to appease your curiosity, the man with the yellow hat’s name is Ted (according to the Curious George movies, at least).
Kalli - TED?! I almost wish I never knew. I don’t think he looks like a Ted… That’s interesting that he actually DOES have a name though!
Stephanie - These are so fun! We are lame and probably won’t dress up at all…
Jenn - Great pictures.
Of course, I spend so much time getting the kids ready that I have no idea what to wear. So I’m still trying to figure out what I have. But I saw a blog post I thought I’d share that had some quick and easy costumes.
