So on the day of our photoshoot there was a heat advisory. I’m not really from here, so I wasn’t quite sure what that meant. But it means that it gets really hot. And stays really hot. For a long time. I’m so glad we had water bottles on hand, or we could have had some really grouchy kids. And parents and photographer for that matter. Despite the heat I think we all had a great time.

I heard that the little boy had a love for Elmo. So I brought our Elmo from home that is dressed in a chicken suit and sings and dances to the chicken dance. Let’s just say it was a big hit. Too big of a hit. He wouldn’t let it go! But it was absolutely adorable seeing him flap his own wings and dance to the music. What is it about Elmo that kids love? Is it his high pitched voice, his weird laugh, or the fact that he is red and fuzzy with a permanent smile on his face?

Marcy - My kids are absolutely obsessed with Elmo too. I can’t quite figure it out either. Someone should do a study about why he is so appealing with children. Good pics. I like the one of the couple and sun coming in from behind them. I haven’t seen you do that yet.
